Russell Boulter

Russell is best known for his regular roles in THE BILL playing ‘DS Boulton’ and in CASUALTY playing ‘Ryan Johnstone’. His other TV/film work includes JUDGE JOHN DEED, WAKING THE DEAD, EASTENDERS, MERSEYBEAT, LUV and MISTRESSES all for the BBC. His ITV work includes MURDER IN SUBURBIA, WHERE THE HEART IS, THE UPPER HAND, DARLING BUDS OF MAY and WATCHING.

His theatre credits include BLOOD BROTHERS as ‘Mickey’ from the original Phoenix Theatre cast, PAL JOEY at the Bristol Old Vic, ‘Hamlet’ in HAMLET at the Birmingham Old Rep directed by Richard Dreyfuss, STAR QUALITY at the Duke of Yorks directed by Chris Luscombe, ‘MacBeth’ in MACBETH at Stafford, ‘Marc’ in ART on a UK Tour directed by Simon Shepherd and three seasons at the RSC.

His other credits include several radio productions including CITIZENS, WOMAN’S HOUR, POETRY PLEASE, AFTERNOON THEATRE and MORNING STORY. Russell can be heard this February in EREBUS playing ‘Captain William Braine. He is also a heard on several audio books including A CHRISTMAS CAROL and THE 100 MINUTE BIBLE.
