Stephen is a leading UK actor who has worked extensively in British theatre and on screen for almost 40 years. He can currently be seen starring as ‘Dr Turner’ in the global hit TV medical series CALL THE MIDWIFE.

His other television roles include ‘Johann Strauss’ in THE STRAUS DYNASTY,  ‘Andrei’ in GRUSHKO,  ‘Daniel Phelan’ in THE HANGING GALE, ‘Garry Lesser’ in CASUALTY, and ‘Simon Winstanley’ in THE BILL, but he may be best known for the regular role of ‘Sean Reynolds’ in ITV’s EMMERDALE.

On Film he has played ‘Ralph’ in MILK, Terry Flynn is BUSINESS AS USUAL and ‘Henry’ in THE HARPIST.

West End Theatre credits include the role of ‘Reverend Shaw’ in the original London cast of FOOTLOOSE, ‘Dick ‘ in TOM, DICK and HARRY for Ray Cooney, ‘Mark’ in ART at The Whitehall Theatre, and ‘Jonathan’ in KILLERS at The Royal Court. He also played the role ‘Jack’ in THE GLEE CLUB at The Library Theatre, Manchester.
