Hildegard Neil

Hildegard has enjoyed a successful and varied career in theatre, film and television.

Her recent Television roles include ‘Mrs Florence Pennel’ in ABOVE SUSPICION ( Red Dahlia ) for La Plante, and ‘The Marchioness of Telford’ in HOTEL BABYLON for the BBC.

In Theatre, ‘Miss Carrie’ in Tennesse William’s VIEUX CARRE at Charing Cross Theatre, ‘Mrs Jamieson’ in a UK tour of CRANFORD, ‘Madam Arcati’ in a short tour of BLITHE SPIRIT  and ‘Mrs Violet Venable’ in SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER at Theatre Clwyd.

Her other theatre roles include a season at the RSC, ‘Gertrude ‘ in HAMLET, ‘Eleanor of Aquitane’ in THE LION IN WINTER and ‘The Abbess’ in COMEDY OF ERRORS at Stafford.

On television includes the female lead in two series – THE BOY DOMINIC and DIAMONDS and she played ‘Cleopatra’ opposite Charlton Heston in his own film of Shakespeare’s ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA.
