Sohm Kapila

Sohm has recently appearred in A BOWL OF CHERRIES at The Charing Cross Theatre.

Prior to this she toured the UK in BRITAIN’S GOT BHANGRA as ‘Jussi’, appeared as ‘Rita’  in A TURTLES TALE – SAMMY’S ADVENTURES,  ‘Lily’ in the short film BRAND B which was accepted into The Cannes Film Festival and has also been filming her new semi-regular role of ‘Chanda Malik’ in DOCTORS for BBC1.

In theatre Sohm has toured as ‘Alia’ in HANDFUL OF HENNA for the Rasa with Oxfordshire Theatre Company, ‘Miss Rehana/Nancy’ in MANY VOICES and ‘Antara’ in SEX DRUGS AND THERAPY AND MAYHEM.

Her Television credits include ‘The Midwife’ in the CORONATION STREET 50th ANNIVERSARY LIVE EPISODE and roles in  PARADOX, WAKING THE DEAD and CASUALTY all for the BBC.  Sohm played regular ‘Nadia Akhtar’ in SILVER STREET for BBC Radio 4 from 2004-2009.
