Gemma trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. TV credits include ‘Tanya Canbray’ in DOCTORS, ‘Lorna Wallace’ in HOLBY CITY, ‘Merle Vickers’ in CALL THE MIDWIFE, ‘Kathleen Cook in ROCK AND CHIPS and ‘Emily’ in SENSE AND SENSIBILITY (all for the BBC).

Highlights of her theatre career include the role of ‘Mum’ in MAN ENOUGH (Greenwich), ‘Cassandra’ and ‘Marlene’ in ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES THE MUSICAL (Theatre Royal Haymarket), ‘Daisy’ in MISFITS and ‘Shelby’ in STEEL MAGNOLIAS (all for Theatre Royal Hornchurch), ‘Joan’ and ‘Rita’ in MADE IN DAGENHAM (Adelphi), ‘Pauline’ and ‘Dolly’ in ONE MAN TWO GUVNORS (National), ‘Donna’ in DREAMBOATS AND PETTICOATS (Playhouse) and ‘Julie’ in COME DANCING (Theatre Royal Stratford East).

Gemma has worked extensively with Omar Okai and Simon Collier and was part of the regular pantomime cast at the Theatre Royal Stratford East for six productions. She won the Laurence Olivier Bursary Ward at Italia Conti and has been a BBC Carleton Hobbs finalist. She is a highly skilled alto singer and is experienced in Meisner Technique and puppetry. Gemma is a qualified massage therapist and enjoys swimming and playing pool.
